WWII Government Issue A-2 Jacket (Long) Z2107HL in Mahogany
WWII Government Issue A-2 Jacket Z2107HL (Long version)
This jacket was an airman’s second skin fighting America’s enemies in the skies during WWII. Made famous by General Douglas MacArthur who flaunted his custom-made horsehide A-2 in battle, this men's leather jacket is manufactured using hard wearing military grade horsehide as originally specified in 1931. The leather shows the same natural creases, folds and graining details as those worn in the Army Air Corps of 1931 to 1939 and the WWII Army Air Forces until 1943.
True to the original, intrepid in its past, and classic in style, this WWII A-2 jacket is a timeless piece of history. Buy this horsehide flight jacket today!

"Fantastic jacket very well made"
AMAZING JACKET
"I ordered the 46L in mahogany. I’m 6’6” weigh 220 with 38” sleeves and 34” waist. The fit is amazing and the quality beyond first rate. Once you put it on you won’t want to take it off. This is my third purchase from Cockpit USA and my best. Note that this is cut to a 1930s specification; the belt line was at the naval and people were generally thinner so this is more an “athletic cut” by today’s standards. If you can wear it, it’s a fabulous look that will never go out of style"
My Legacy
"As the proud son of a Tuskegee Airmen I have wanted an A-2 jacket for quite a while. And I wanted a version of the jacket that my dad wore as a Mitchell B-25 bomber pilot. Based on records and photos I believe I now have it. The WWII GI A-2 in horsehide leather by Cockpit USA made my dream come true. 2nd Lt. I J McRae [ RIP ] earned a second pair of wings, but now I feel him with me when I slip into my A-2. Thanks ever so much to Matt and Cockpit USA."
WWII GI A-2, Navy G-1, B-3 Bomber, U.S.A.F. 21st Century A-2
"I just received a WWII GI A-2 to complement my stable of Cockpit USA jackets (Navy G-1, B-3 Bomber, U.S.A.F. 21st Century A-2). The craftsmanship in each and every jacket is excellent, and the materials and construction are perfection. The owners of Cockpit USA advised me in order to arrive at the proper 46L size for my jackets, and the jackets all fit me perfectly. These jackets are the real deal. Great company, great products, great service."
Awesome A2
"I recently became a first time customer of Cockpit USA with the purchase of an A2 gov’t issue jacket. I had wanted one for a long time and now that I have it, I wish I had made this purchase years ago. It is a beautifully crafted garment and an awesome piece of history. I am very pleased to have gotten it! I can also say that Cockpit USA has outstanding customer service. In fact, the owner of the company took the time to speak with me at length regarding my purchase. The courtesy provided ensured my purchase was easy and very promptly shipped. I am definitely glad I finally ordered this A2. And I am already working on my next jacket purchase. Thank you!"
Awesome jacket outstanding customer service
"I recently purchased from Cockpit USA for the first time. I had wanted an A2 jacket for years and now I have one. I should have made this purchase a long time ago! It is a beautiful, well made garment and an awesome piece of history. Being tall, I wasn’t sure what size to get. Customer service was great and the owner of the company took the time to speak with me at length about my purchase!! I am very pleased with it! Thank you!"
'Love my A-2
"My 20+ year old Avirex A-2 had a pretty torn up lining. Cockpit USA repaired it to like new condition by replacing the lining. But they also replaced the knit cuffs and waist band. It's better than new. My only complaint is that I was in the Naval Air Force, not the Regular Air Force. We were issued G-2s, with the fuzzy collars. I bought this A-2 with the leather collar years ago because I remembered how crummy the fuzzy collar became on my government-issued G-2 back in the early-1960s. I made the right decision: After having the jacket repaired it is better than new."
