Originally adopted by the U.S. Air Force in the early 1950s, this iconic nylon jacket has seen service with various armed forces worldwide. In the 1980s the MA-1 was used by U.S. Army helicopter crews and is known as the “Nylon Pilot’s Jacket”. Today Cockpit USA has designed the new Victory MA-1 Bomber with a copyrighted lining printed with original WWII newspaper articles as a bold motif. We offer this jacket in black only with special lining as a standalone piece amongst our authentic Milspec MA-1 Bomber Jackets in Air Force sage with traditional survival orange interior. Our new Victory MA-1 Bomber jacket in black is made for the man who wants a classic military style that honors history and tradition with a contemporary homage to a pure American design. The made in USA Victory MA-1 Bomber is like wearing WWII history combined with classic military fashion.

Not Suitable for Slim Physiques Review by Caplan
Quality
Value
Let me start off with acknowledging that this is advertised as a "regular fit" jacket, and that I knowingly purchased it, despite normally needing slim-fit everything.

That being said, there is absolutely no stock size that would be suitable for a tall and lean man (6'2, 170 lbs). The sleeves are far too baggy, and when zipped up, the jacket balloons up in the chest and shoulders. However, the sleeves and overall jacket are perfect length, and all of the knitted sections fit perfectly. I clearly can't size down to Small without the sleeves riding up, so there's simply no stock sizing that will work.

Sizing issues aside, it's a beautiful jacket- the zippers are heavy-duty, the material feels good, and the warmth hits you almost immediately upon donning it. I'm definitely a fan of the sacrilege "Victory" lining; as much as the mil-spec orange appeals to my inner utilitarian, I appreciate the more casual, fashion-oriented tone.

It's probably impossible to tailor this jacket, but I'll be visiting my local cloth sorceress to triple check before sullenly resorting to returning it, which is such a shame. I know Cockpit USA offers slim-fit jackets as well, but this was the one that spoke to me. Ah, well.

Skinny dudes, beware! (Posted on 9/20/2018)
