Our 7th Air Force Souvenir Jacket is a salute to the Hawaiian Air Force. Established on October 19, 1940, re-equipped and re-designated in 1942 as the Seventh Air Force, they provided air defense for the Hawaiian Islands. During the Korean War, the 7th Air Force was stationed in South Korea, where they have remained to this day. Our souvenir jacket is inspired by the hand-embroidered jackets that American soldiers would bring home as a commemorative souvenir of their travels and time in South Korea.

Beautiful Jacket with Personality Review by ROBERT
Quality
Value
I have been looking for a stylish, quality jacket for a long time. I don't want to look like everyone else or have something with no personality or individuality. I finally found the answer with this beautiful, unique piece in navy. Just got it today so I can't speak to long-term quality, but it seems very solid. Love the pocket on the left sleeve and, of course, the connection to military history.

The navy color really is navy. The.pics on the website look like a lighter blue, but the real color is very dark blue, a true navy. I thought about getting the sage color but I figure I will get an M-51 someday that can cover that base.

A note on size. I am 6 foot 3, about 215 lbs. I wear a 17.5 by 36 dress shirt and a 44 long in a suit jacket. All my T-shirts are larges, and in outerwear normally I wear large or XL depending on brand. I have never worn 2XL in my life for anything. But after I got this in XL, which is what Cockpit recommended for me, I sent it back for the 2XL. The XL sleeves were about an inch too short for me and the XL was not quite long enough in the waist. And the sleeves were too tight, though my arms are of average thickness (I am not a body builder). I normally like a slim fit or a trim fit, but the XL was altogether too snug. The 2XL is perfect. So I recommend one size above your largest possible size for this item.
