Crafted originally during WWII, the grand B-7 Parka was an essential asset in the protection of pilots and ground crews stationed in the bitterly cold climates of Alaska. With plummeting temperatures and unheated cockpits at altitudes of up to 20,000 feet, a heavy duty piece of outerwear was needed to keep out the chill and the specifically designed three-quarter length, plush shearling, and fur-trimmed B-7 jacket fit the bill perfectly. Our B-7 Aleutian WWII Sheepskin Parka is a true collector's item. Sheepskin varies from production to production but you'll always receive the same craftsmanship and warmth from Cockpit USA Not sure which size to get?      How do I clean my sheepskin jacket?

We really don’t recommend doing anything to sheepskin jackets unless you get it very wet in which case you may need to use some natural product to rehydrate it after it dries. Most products will just accelerate the color coming off which will happen naturally as you wear it so you want to be careful. If you dirty the inside of your B-7 Aleutian WWII sheepskin parka, make sudsy water with woolite and clean the wool lightly. Damp cloth to remove soap and let it dry. You can then use a brush to brush it out.

  1. Outstanding winter coat Review by Michael

Just bought my coat January 2020 and all I can say is that this coat is everything that the reviewers say that it is -Outstanding!!! I get looks and compliments everywhere I go which wasn't my goal but okay I'll take them... Oh by the way the materials and build quality are both excellent. In fact, I was so impressed with this coat that I decided to buy 2 more jackets from Cockpit - R.A.F Sheepskin Bomber Jacket and Black B-3 Authentic Sheepskin Jacket. I can hardly wait till they arrive to wear them.

If your waiting to pull the trigger on this item on this, do yourself a favor and make the purchase you won't regret it.

Great job Cockpit I'm a fan!!! (Posted on 2/20/2020)

  2. Absolutely Stunning! Review by NEVince

I had been debating about buying a B-7 sheepskin parka for 4 years now and finally pulled the trigger on this a few days ago. This thing is stunning! First, delivery was fast...got it in 4 days. Second...I currently own several shearling parkas and peacoats from Aston Leathers, and two B-3 sheepskin jackets from Alpha Industries and Cabelas. This coat is by far my favorite piece. It looks well constructed and the material isn’t skimpy either...has some heft to it. Like one of the other reviewers wrote, this thing is warm. On sizing...I typically wear a 44R but bought this in a size 42 as suggested by Cockpitusa. The 42 was spot on but if I had planned on wearing a bulky sweater, sport coat, or suit or underneath or even if I had a belly, I think that a size 44 (my normal size) would have been a better fit.

I more than likely would have purchased this coat years sooner had there been any video reviews released because the photos on the cockpitusa site don’t do it justice. Give it a shot if you’re on the fence. (Posted on 2/17/2020)

  3. Very Good Review by Thomas

I just received mine today and it surprised me how heavy the coat was. The sheepskin really keeps you warm everywhere you go. You can even wear a simple T-Shirt and a pair of jeans and you are still extremely warm.
I can really recommend this product, quality made and exceptional customer support.
I would stop by and visit their shop in Manhattan if you are planning a trip there as well. (Posted on 12/28/2019)

  6. Stood up to Alaska with flying colors! Review by Jeff
    Quality
    Value

I bought this coat because I was going to Alaska to realize my lifelong dream of seeing -- and photographing -- the Northern Lights. (And doing the other tourista things!) With a base layer and sweater, I was able to stand in the cold for more than 2 hours, in the middle of the night, temps hovering at/below zero, and NOT get cold. I also waited in the snow to get pictures of dog mushing, sat in a house built solely of ice, and walked with reindeer where the temperatures were between 5-20 degrees; again, with no discomfort from the cold. If it climbed to above 20 degrees, I had to discard the base layer because it just isn't needed with this jacket. The quality of the product and workmanship are worlds ahead of anything else out there (and I looked before buying). (Posted on 3/12/2016)

  7. Everything was perfect !!!!! Review by Michael J.

Could'nt be happier. My friend bought the same coat from Orvis, paid almost 700.00 more, paid sales tax and shipping. All together $1000.00 more. The sales rep was very nice, in spite of his N.Y. accent, lol.
P.S. Your coat was new, theirs was very used.
    Thank you !!!!!!

  9. Woohoo -- A Divine Coat Review by Arley

    Quality

I will never need to buy another coat for the rest of my life and I will never ever be cold again. The WWII Parka is well worth the investment because the workmanship and design details are exquisite. Everyone (including strangers) ask to try it on and compliment me on how beautiful and unique this coat is. I could not be happier with this purchase. I walk happier and warmer through the streets of NYC while others admittedly drool at how fine my new coat is. Everyone who tries it on (there is a 30 second time limit for fear of claiming ownership!) agrees and wants one. (Posted on 2/19/2014)
