Set during the Vietnam war in Saigon in 1965, Good Morning, Vietnam is an American comedy war movie starring Robin Williams as a radio DJ on the Armed Forces Radio Service. While proving to be a huge hit with the listening masses, Airman First Class Adrian Cronauer (Williams) manages to annoy and rile the nerves of his superiors by divulging censored information and initiating confrontations, causing riots and mayhem. A natural comedian, funny man Williams' hilarious radio broadcasts were mainly improvised, earning him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role. So, lock your doors, bundle up and settle down with a mug of cocoa and this rip roaring Movie Monday pick!

    Dropped in Khe Sanh in central Vietnam in 1968, marine medic Raymond Torres found himself in a world of chaos and fighting set against a picturesque setting. A heart wrenching story, here Torres tells his story, reliving the anguish and serving as a reminder of all that we as Americans have to be grateful for towards those who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom.     Winner of two Oscars and three Golden Globes, Apocalypse Now is a war movie of epic proportions. Released in 1979 and set during the Vietnam war, the story follows Captain Benjamin L. Willard played by Martin Sheen, an US Army special operations officer in Cambodia as he goes out in search of Special Forces Colonel Walter E. Kurtz, played by the legendary Marlon Brando. Willard's mission is to kill Willard, as he is believed to be an insane dissenter of the army. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Apocalypse Now is composed of all the components which make it the iconic film it is. From actors of the Hollywood A-List to captivating cinematography and daring action scenes, this movie ticks all the Cockpit USA boxes of approval!
